www.jamierouse.net Arkansas - May 14, 2008 Here's the deal, guys: fishing has been unbelievable!! Over the last few weeks, it has been some of the best fishing I have ever seen on the Little Red. The cool thing is, there is NO ONE on the water. To keep it simple, what I have mainly been fishing over the last few weeks has been the equivalent of one unit, even though the powerhouse says they are running 2. You definitely need to be in a boat, but even so, we have been crushing lots of nice fish! Check out the new pics in the photo gallery. Due to the high water, the fish are getting fat. I really hope these conditions continue through the summer because it will mean low pressure and BIG BEAUTIFUL TROUT! Pretty much any nymph technique will work, as long as you get it down. Notable flies are san juans, copper johns, sow bugs, caddis emergers. We are having an awesome caddis hatch right now. As a matter of fact, I have been consistently catching fish on dries in the afternoons. Last, but not least, my streamer techniques are bringing large, agressive trout to the boat.
